The 3 woods
Warm, pale or rich — start from the look you want, and the room it will sit in.
North America
American Walnut
Deep chocolate-brown with a flowing, generous grain. The warmest of the three, and the most classic. Suits vintage and dress collections, warmer rooms, and gold or warm-steel watches.
North Africa
Sapele Mahogany
A warm reddish-brown with a lustrous, ribboned grain that shifts in the light. The most formal of the three. Suits dressier collections and precious-metal watches, and richer, darker rooms.
Europe
European Ash
Pale, blond and cool, with a clean straight grain. The lightest and most modern-looking, and the wood the range starts from. Suits steel and sports watches, bright or minimal interiors.

Every box is finished by hand in an Italian lacquer with a satin sheen — not high-gloss, not flat.
Satin is the considered choice: it keeps the glare down, lets the grain read as wood rather than plastic, and feels warm under the hand.
